Music Memories #2

For this music memory I interviewed my grandmother and my neighbor Ray O’Leary.

My Grandmother used to listen to a lot of Elvis, while her parents listened to a lot of Frank Sinatra. I thought that I was weird how my grandmother listened to such revolutionary music (at the time) and end up marrying my grandfather, who is the epitome of close minded. Although she never went to a single show of Elvis’, she listened to him almost religiously.

Ray O’Leary listened to a lot of different things during his lifetime. Musical talents such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles are only a few of what Ray listened to in his prime.

During my life, I never listened to one specific genre, but I did travel back in time from the present time. I started listening to very modern music first, but I easily found out that the past had much better musical talent than the recent batch of “musicians”.

  1. I think it's pretty cool that your grandmother was an Elvis fan.
